The 2025 Garden Expo, “Edible Gardens & Bountiful Tables," is now history and a joyful memory. It was a rich array of talented, dedicated, life-long food-to-table heroes who offered a full morning of expertise.
The Tablescapes were exquisite as local designers delivered their best ideas and resources.
Keynote speakers, Nancy Harmon Jenkins and Barbara Damrosch, hit it out of the park with tales from their gardens over the last 50 years. They generously answered questions and followed up with a robust book signing. Rory Keohane of Tenderwild Farm, Charlie Costello of MariLark Farms, Hannah Semler of FarmDrop and Melissa Kelly, Chef and Owner of Primo came to share their work in the field of farming and gardening in the unique PechaKucha style.
Breakout speakers provided insights and hands-on demonstrations of their expertise. It was so much fun watching Phil Lebreton, Chef, 40 Paper making sauces with fresh garden herbs and Blake Sanburn, Landscape Architect making bouquets with flowers and unexpected garden ingredients. We were so fortunate to be able to also have Caleb Goossen, from MOFGA speaking about Limitations to Consider When Planning A Garden and John Fromer, from Merryspring Nature Center speaking to us about Planning a Kitchen Garden.
The crescendo of the day was a tour of David Kibbe’s beautiful Old Souls Farm. The talk of the morning became a reality as visitors could see up close a real microfarm in progress, 5 minutes drive from downtown Camden.
