76th Annual Garden

Tour

Retrospective

A day of gardens, artists, musicians and horticultural demonstrations

Featured property hosts were gifted a 2024 Tour commemorative garden plaque.

Merryspring was a jewel of the Tour looking at its best under the hand of the Master Gardener, staff and volunteers.

Thank you to Decor Maine our sponsor.

An inviting home garden the result of hardwork and care over decades.

Club volunteers helped in many ways from hosting, managing Tour headquarters and traffic supervision to ensuring all musicians and artists had the essential equipment they needed

Each garden had a morning and afternoon exhibitor. Ten generous, creative hobbyists spoke about the sex life of the bee, made pickles, framed flowers, created pots, potted native flowers, made kale bouquets, and spoke about how to plant and what to plant. They were both engaging and enlightening.

Every property selection set a background for local musical talent, playing all day in various genres to provide a multi-sensory experience.

The Norumbega Inn and one-time carriage house, Castle Rock, completed the property offerings. The Inn opened its doors to hundreds of garden mavens, sharing its beautiful 19th-century interior space and dramatic porches. The two historic homes, separately owned and generously offered, rounded out a complete picture of the garden history
